French Resources

There are now many hundreds of thousands of pages in French to help you. Many are `authentic' French resources (e.g. the SNCF web site) and many have been specially created by teachers and academics (e.g. grammar exercises).

You will find many useful links to these resources from two UK-based language teaching and learning initiatives:

          • French Language Sites (Languages, Linguistics and Area studies Subject Centre)
          • WELL (Web Enhanced Language Learning)

Many universities throughout the world offer excellent pages of useful links to French materials. We have chosen just a few illustrative examples from the UK, the USA, Canada and Australia:

          • Links to French Language Pages (Geoff Hare: University of Newcastle)
          • French Resources on the Web (Gilles Couzin: University of Bristol)
          • WebFrench (Mark Pegrum: University of Western Australia
          • French Language and Culture (University of Ohio)
          • FRANCO: la page francophone universitaire (David Millar: University of Alberta)
